Showing Hospitality to Orphans

We continue hosting younger orphans on the week-ends. Greg drives 2 hours south to pick them up on Fridays. We have pizza on Friday evenings, family-fun day on Saturday, church on Sunday, and then Greg takes them back on Monday morning before school starts. They get to celebrate their birthdays, take hikes, ride the train to church, take walks to the village store for ice cream cravings, work on pottery projects, and/or bond with our doggies. They all beg to come with us. We usually bring 1 or 2 each week-end. There are 24 kids (22 boys and 2 girls), which makes it difficult to choose. God is blessing this program. It is the very best way to figure out which children will fit into our program once they age out of the orphanage system. It's sad that we cannot take them all, but God knows and provides as he sees fit. We just show up for them and God makes the rest happen.
